MG: What made you choose a career in nails?

I have always loved painting my nails since I was a child but, I never would have thought I would become a nail technician. I worked in a school as a course organizier and one day I saw the nail technician course. All of the girls made amazing nails during the course, and I realized I want to do that too. I reached out to the teacher and sent my application for the next course. It was almost 11 years ago and I don’t have a single regret!

MG: What is most challenging about what you do?

In the beginning, my worst enemy was time, but with a lot of practice I was able to defeat it. 

MG: What do you enjoy most, and least about your career?

People. Being a nail technician is rewarding, I love to see my client’s happy face after an appointment. I always give 100% to my work and sometimes it is really exhausting. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing nails, but sometimes I get burnt out and loose my motivation, but then I see another happy client and it helps!

MG: What else would you like people to know about what you do?

I learned the basics of nails in Hungary, but since I live in the UK I started learning a lot of new techniques from the internet. I binged watched all the tutorials and as a result I started my own nail art channel on Youtube. 

MG: Where do you get your inspiration from?

Mostly from Instagram and Pinterest, but I always have my camera in case I spot a great design or texture somewhere.

MG: How many nail polishes do you own?

About 80 Madam Glam gels and my collection keeps growing!  

MG: What are your goals/dreams for 2021?

My goals are to create more content to my Instagram page and Youtube channel and travel to different nail shows all over the world. ( Once we can travel again )

MG: If you had to do it all over again, what would you change or do differently?

I would do the same but sooner! I tried a lot of different jobs before I finally started Nail School. 

MG: Which celebrity would be your dream client? Why?

Lady Gaga would be amazing! I like her style and I could create crazy and bold nails for her.

MG:How much time off do you get/take?

I love nails! If I’m not in the salon, I do nail art at home or watch nail videos and pictures. I usually take a 2 weeks break before the summer and winter season.

MG: Do you have any words of encouragement for new nail technicians?

Never give up! If this is your dream fight for it! It will be hard at the beginning, but with time it will be easier and you’ll enjoy every moment. And the most important thing is practice, practice, practice! Everyone started somewhere(you should see my first set of nails... hahaha).
