Only one month ago, from October 1st to 30th, Madam Glam committed to offering every pink product at a special price and donating $1 of every purchase to the Breast Cancer Alliance. The New York based nail beauty start-up sold 1000 gels and, as promised, the amount of $1000 was sent to the charity.

The mission of the Breast Cancer Alliance (http://breastcanceralliance.org/ ) is to fund innovative breast cancer research and to promote breast health through education.  Also, the non-profit organization supports breast cancer-related training for medical professionals and efforts to increase access to cancer screening and treatment for low-income women.  As of 2011, was the fourth-largest private funder of breast cancer research in the U.S.

Every year, breast cancer kills over 40.000 women in the US. In 2018, over 268.000 new cases of breast cancer have been diagnosed already. Mortality rate fluctuates between 1.9% in people younger than 49 years old to 3.4% in people over 60*.
