Pumpkin Nails: The Centerpiece of Thanksgiving Dinner

While Thanksgiving might be sort of different for many of us this year, Madam Glam is here to get you into the mood! We teamed up with our very talented nail tech and friend from UK, Molly to pair up for you a glamorous manicure that combines the classic/traditional side of Thanksgiving with the modern/glamorous vibes. Of course, it might not rival your loved one's pie or bragging about stuff with the fam, but when you can't make a big reunion happen, some cute nail art is the next best thing!
Before you reach for the food and all those sweets, make sure your nails are looking festive as well! So...yeah! You need to plan out a not-so-basic Nail Art for November 26th. ASAP!
FOLLOW THE STEPS
🧡 Apply Base Coat Gel and cure it under the LED lamp for 30 seconds!
🥧 Apply two coats of Cowardly Lion and cure it in the LED lamp.
🍠 Using Perfect White, create the outline of the pumpkin- including the little stem growing out of it at the top!
🍷 Using Perfect Gold, draw a shadow for each white line drew for the pumpkin.
✨ Using a brush, get a small amount of orange glitter gel Fade Away, fill in the little gaps of the pumpkin and cure!
🙌 Apply Top Coat Gel and cure it in the LED lamp.
TIPs & TRICKs
💡 When drawing the pumpkin, you can start of with very thin lines to map out the overall size/scale of the pumpkin. Then, once you're happy with it, go over the lines again with more gel to make opaque lines.
💡 Because of the texture of the gel 'Fade Away' being bumpy, due to the glitter sequins, apply it in the last step. If you apply it first, then you have to draw on top and then, the lines would be bumpy and not straight. You could however apply a Top Coat over the glitter before drawing the pumpkin to smooth out the surface, but this way- the nail is less bulky.
